OASIS Scholarship 2023: Scholarship Portal for Bengal Students
Estimated reading time: 12 minutes
The OASIS Scholarship, an initiative of the Government of India, serves as a vital support system for students from minority communities aiming for advanced education. Standing for “Online Application for Scholarship in Studies,” OASIS is meticulously overseen by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Eligible minority communities encompass a broad spectrum, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians (Parsis).
Designed with inclusivity, the OASIS Scholarship targets economically challenged students, aiming to dismantle financial barriers that often hinder their educational pursuits. Beyond merely waiving tuition fees, this scholarship supports maintenance allowances and other essential academic expenditures. The exact scholarship amount is contingent upon the student’s educational level and categorization, with funds typically disbursed directly to the educational institution. OASIS stands as a beacon of opportunity, ensuring that economic constraints do not impede deserving students from accessing higher education.
